about
#PDR001 | "A lullaby record meant to create simultaneously soothing and jarring atmospheres. When creating the record, in order to be removed from the process – to be an active listener – R_Garcia automated a series of random events: songs arranged by mathematics, probability. The result is repeating chaos. But emerging from this array of calculated randomness, there are themes to be heard, if one listens deeply. The record begins with the chilling ambience of Bucky’s Book, strident and unpredictable, a modern Renaissance parade of sound. The Lepidopterist seems to takes us to another planet where large rocks grow mouths, and with slow deliberation, tell each other their secrets through the wind. Constructs in Molten Gold feels like a million mermaids simultaneously exhaling, while A Place for Everything concludes the album with the quiet, eerie sounds of rain drops communicating."
